Certificate IV in Christian Leadership
The Certificate IV in Christian Leadership is our first year of study at our Adelaide Bible College. The course is broken down into the following: core subjects, electives and ministry experience. The 12 month course covers leadership, biblical study and practical experience; with students getting exposure to foundational studies in God, leadership and the Bible. This course is great for people who want to be involved in ministry in any capacity, and for those who want to develop their foundations in God. Satisfactory completion of this course can lead to a paid or voluntary role as a team member, assistant leader, assistant small group leader, youth or children's worker, junior assistant pastoral worker in a church or Christian organisation.
Due to the practical nature of the course each student is required to have a mentor to supervise them in the ministry experience component throughout the year. A mentor can be anyone who is a key leader or Pastor in a Christian Organisation. The mentor should be someone who is willing to provide guidance and discipleship throughout the course of your study, and needs to be approved by the Bible College.

The Certificate IV offers study through two streams: Internship stream and Studies stream. As a student you get to decide which stream fits your study needs, even if you have never studied at Bible College before. Read below for more information on each stream and to help you make a decision about which one would be best for you.
More than just study, it's a lifestyle. The Intern stream involves more ministry experience hours and less classroom time. This course can be completed full time over two days a week.
This stream is perfect for those who are looking to develop leadership skills under the supervision of a ministry supervisor in their local church.
The Studies stream involves more classroom time and less ministry experience hours, giving you access to a wider range of subjects. This course can be completed full time over two days a week.
This stream is perfect for those looking to broaden their knowledge of the Bible and their foundations in God and is also recommended for international students.
The Ministry Stream is for anyone who has completed at least 12 months as an employed Pastor on staff at a church. This stream is tailored to your individual experience and learning needs, the content is delivered over 5 days and self paced learning and completion of assignments are done at your own pace. Please contact the college for more information about this stream, and when the next sessions are being delivered.
